Pontiac Firebird Convertible
This car is a 1984 Pontiac Firebird that was converted into a Convertible by Autoform of Elkhart Indiana. It has 118000 Miles on it. The engine is a Carberated 2.8 liter V6 which is mated to an 700R4 4 speed Automatic Transmission, which shifts very firmly. Doesn't use any oil, and averages around 25 mpg Highway. Power Locks, Power Windows, and a Power Hatch pop. The top is black, and is a rigid top which flips back into the hatch area. This vehicle has no back seat. Car has an aftermarket stereo with a Sony 50 watt by 4 channel head unit with CD player, with Sony 6x9s in the rear (The speakers are located behind the seats near the ground, instead of the standard sail panel location) and 4" in the dash. Car also has a wolf whistle and fog lights which are operated by two switches installed by the previous owner in the dash lip. These are currently disconnected, and the fog lights are tucked under, inside the nose.
Last year I was in an accident in this Firebird, so I am currently in the process of rebuilding it. The front end has been replaced, at the moment with inferior parts that don't quite fit right, and I will be repainting and completing the conversion to a Trans Am with the correct '84 Aero Trans Am parts. I will post pictures as I complete it.
Clicking on the Picture will bring up a new window with the blown-up picture.
