eremiah Cherwien was born April 3rd, 1983 in Seattle, Washington; to parents David Mark Cherwien and SUsan Palo CHerwien. Born at 4 lbs 2 oz, he was a tiny little guy. Jeremiah lived with his parents as an only child until February 16th, 1986 when his brother Benjamin John was born, 2 months early.

n june of 1986, it was decided that the family would move to Chicago, IL, so David could start his new job at St. Luke's, which was in a suburb of Chicago named Park Ridge. After Preschool at Building Basics, Jeremiah went on to start Kindergarten at Field School in Mrs. Fry's Class. Field school was only two blocks away from his house, which was also right across from the church where his Dad "worked". While growing up a church rat had it's disadvantages, it did have the occasional perk, one of which was the opportunity to watch the "World Famous Bottle Band" perform. Not only that though, Jeremiah one year (To be determined when Jeremiah returns home, and speaks with his Mother) was given the chance to perform in a small comic sketch during one of the Bottle Band's annual concerts. His part in the small sketch was a youngun who was learning to play the bottle, a'la The Music Man.

nother participant in that sketch was on of his good Frinds at the time, Beth Helstead (Whom coincidentally now goes to St. Olaf, and lived next door to Jeremiah's Cousin, Sarah Elizabeth Cherwien). While living in Park Ridge, the family cat Eepch passed away due to a growth in his throat. While this was a very sad event, it did bring two new cats into the household, Oscar and Felix. Around the time the Odd couple became part of the family, David decided to return to his childhood roots and get the family a dog, a Boston Terrier to be precise. However, Igmy didn't last too long with the family, because of an unfortunate incident involving his jaws, Jeremiah's nose and Benjamin's Cheek.

hortly thereafter, the Cherwien family once again prepared to move, this time to St. Louis Park, Minnesota. A job change for David, this time to Lutheran Church of the Good Shephard is the instigator. At this time, David made a trip up to Minnesota to look into houses. They found a house in St. Louis Park, but it needed a lot of work before it could be livable again. Before the family could move into their new home, the house had to be brough up to code. So from August of 1990 to November of the same year, the Cherwien family stayed with David's parents, Walter and Marian Cherwien, at their house on Live Oak Drive in Wayzata. While staying there Jeremiah began school at Peter Hobart in Mrs. Heinzman's Vital Class. Vital is the type of classroom where the grades are mixed, e.g. 4-6th grades in the same class.

hile in that Vital class, Jeremiah met many of the friends he would keep through High School, some Beyond. Most notable among the group where Crystal Kray (Then Crystal Abdul-Karim) and Phillip Mershon, whom are pictured here, with Jeremiah in the 3rd grade. It was around this time that Jeremiah began going by the nickname if Miah, which he still mostly goes by today. To remind people of this nickname, and ocasionally because he was bored, Jeremiah would write across his left hand on the knuckles.

n the fall of 1994, Jeremiah once again switched schools. This time he simply moved up to the Intermediate Center, which had grades 4-6, Called Susan Lindgren. Still in Vital, instead of Grades of 2-3 which he was with at Peter Hobart, he was now in Vital with 4-6, he was placed under the watchful care of an everchanging Trio (at one point a quartet) of Teachers. Two of these teachers remained constant. Mrs. Anna Carrie Brooks and Mr. Gordon Rausch. The other position was in constant motion, First year (4th grade) the position was gilled by Ms. Mogck. The second year the Teacher was Ms. Froid, while Mrs. Richardson filled in for Mrs. Brooks for half a year while she (Mrs. Brooks) was out on Maternity leave. The final year (6th grade) the third position was eliminated, and Mrs. Brooks started teaching half-time with Ms. Munson-Benson. It was Ms. M-B (Which is what most people refered to her as) gave Jeremiah his own Mac, a Macintosh plus, wich after many years of Word Processing service, was transformed into the Hack Mac.

fter 6th grade, Jeremiah had to switch schools again, this time to the Junior High. Unfortunatley not many records exist from the two years, and Jeremiah refuses to answer any questions about that time. One of the only small buts of knowledge know about this time is that his involvement with playing the Cello (Which started in 4th grade) grew to great levels, and that he began studying German somewhere in these years.
